We were honored to have been chosen from among all the companies in the West Coast Market to handle the space design, floral design, decor, linen, draping, and furniture rental for the Knot’s Cocktails and Connections annual mixer! Typically, there are multiple companies handling these different elements… which may not always be the best thing… ‘to many cooks in the kitchen’. Luckily… we own and produced all of these items in-house… thus providing a cohesive design.
First, we went into the venue and took everything out that was not bolted down! We then mapped out a vision and produced a computer-aided design (CAD) floor plan. By bringing in all the tables, chairs, sofas, rugs, lamps, butterfly chandeliers and decor… we were able to transform the space to suit the client needs. We resisted the common trappings of needing to fill every inch of the space… allowing the decor to have purpose. The guests thought that all the furniture was already there and part of the venue, which proved a seamless design concept.
We introduced items that are brand new to this market to over 200 industry professionals. Many of which have not been seen in the other major markets across the country… offering a fresh perspective on event design.
We combined mid-century modern furniture and decor with an organic floral touch. Which showcased the simple beauty of the natural materials and meticulous craftsmanship. Using fresh-cut bamboo to construct the vases and main entrance sculpture helped to soften the edges. Our hand crafted bamboo screen with artfully placed pink Vanda Orchids served as a backdrop for the clear hanging Bubble chairs – which was a popular photo spot throughout the evening! Guests were amazed by our fresh, woven leaf rug, as they bent down to see if the leaves were real!
